Biography

A lifetime in the blues, on and off the stage.

Tom Hazeltine

It all started out so innocently for me… I started bringing my 35mm because my friend Johnny’s images, made with his Polaroid camera were so bad. My images weren’t much better back then, but over time they improved.

Most of what I intend to add here are the images I’ve made of musicians. From the beginning, which was around 1979, through the 80’s; the 90’s, and still, you’ll see me out there making images.

Leadership in the Blues Community

Tom currently serves as President of the Boston Blues Society, where he plays an active role in supporting and promoting blues music throughout the region. His involvement goes beyond attendance—he’s been a consistent presence behind the scenes, helping to elevate artists, events, and the broader music community.
