On August 8th, 1991 I set out for what would become the trip of a lifetime. My first destination was the White Mountains, to meet with Pierre Beauregard and Kip Tweedie for a few days camping. As it turned out, Hurricane Bob blew through town shortly after our arrival. And because we had used boulders to cross a stream to get to our rustic campsite, we were trapped until the boulders were visible again.
