I was lucky to have spent a small amount of time working with Charlie while he was the guitarist with Sugar Ray and the Bluetones.  Those projects included the recording the the Bluetones Too Far From The Bar, as well as a number of shows in the New England area. It was a blast to be in the presence of so many great musicians (Duke Robbilard serves as producer!). These guys are my heroes!

Charlie became the catalyst to my involvement in 2019 with Rick Esrtin and the Nightcats. On a long drive back to his hotel from one of the gigs, we got to talking about my responsibilities with Sugar and the band. He asked me if it would be okay to mention my name to Rick Estrin and did I think Sugar would mind. In mid 2019 I had my first gig with the Nightcats and now, when they're on the eastern seaboard I shuttle their gear.

Listening to Charlie play meant that you were going on a journey.
